Few days ago, I saw the guards setting up a counter right in front of the guard house, checking every person coming in to our condo. Immediately, I felt that there was something wrong, because it was really unusual for those guards to do so (hmm…they are lazy…usually they just close their eyes and let people in!)

Yesterday, the mangement officer put up a notice in the lift, saying a unit at another block was broken in. Too many similar cases happened these two years, now the management’s side is asking the individual units to set up their own alarm system.

Sometimes, I wonder why? Is it because the security is not tight enough? Or is it just like what people usually say: its due to “ insiders” work( the guard themselves )? Or it is due to too many foreigners are now staying here?

Ai, incident like this doesn’t just happen here but every where. Just flip open the newspaper, its there, almost everyday! Sometimes, even a friend will tell you that he or she is a victim too! Ai aiai…

What to do? Even the police officers are saying that they are having “ shortage of workforce”, unable to keep an eye in every place! Well… we got to “save” ourselves, can’t depend on others any more! Install a grille , an alarm system, extra locks… and most importantly, don’t ever keep valuables in the house!!
